Tommy's Burgers sits on W Florida Ave in Hemet as a straightforward fast food and breakfast spot that leans into classic American comfort fare with a local twist. This is the kind of place where you pop in when hunger hits for something filling but unpretentious, whether it’s early morning or midday. The atmosphere is casual and no-frills, with friendly staff often noticeable for their festive touch like holiday window paintings, which adds a little neighborhood charm to an otherwise functional dining space.

The menu offers solid options if you’re after something beyond the usual burger joint fare. Those coming for breakfast will find hearty plates like the breakfast burrito with avocado or the chile verde omelet, both appealing to folks wanting a substantial start to the day. Burgers here cater to different preferences, including healthier choices like whole wheat buns and grilled chicken, making it easy to customize your meal without straying too far from comfort food territory.

Tommy's stands out with some crave-worthy sides — onion rings carry a satisfying crunch with a light, pancake-batter aroma that seems particularly popular, and the carne asada fries showcase a local flavor that hits the spot when you want something a little more indulgent. For those who prefer veggie options, the breakfast burritos starting with eggs and adding various ingredients can work well, and fried mushrooms and zucchini make for tasty sides. Portions tend to be generous, which matches the reasonable pricing felt throughout the menu.

This spot is well suited to a diverse group: families grabbing a quick breakfast before heading out, locals stopping by for a casual burger lunch, or anyone in need of a relaxed atmosphere without the fuss of sit-down dining. The service feels warm enough to make the experience comfortable, even if it’s not at a leisurely pace. If you’re looking to drop in on a weekday morning or early afternoon with a hunger for straightforward, satisfying fast food and breakfast classics, Tommy’s is a dependable choice in the Hemet area.

I found myself craving onion rings and carne asada fries wherever my husband went. He chose a tuna sandwich, which was quite good and certainly worth the price. However, I still prefer the tuna sandwiches from Sprouts, which are a dollar less. The onion rings had a delightful crunch, and I loved the pancake-batter aroma. Perhaps that's just my personal preference. As for the carne asada fries, they were average, but given the price, they’re a solid option; I just wish they had more pico de gallo. Overall, it was a decent experience for what we received.

Ordered a big breakfast burrito for about $11. It was very good and very filling, but it did have a long strand of hair in it. Just about every item I've ordered was tasty though.

Tommy's offers economical vegetarian options as they all start with egg and the price goes up from there depending which meat you want to add. Our go-to (before we started removing dairy from our diets) were the Egg breakfast burritos. 2 eggs, hashbrowns and cheese, and then we'd add avocado Fried mushrooms and zucc made for tasty side orders Nice staff and festive holiday window painting. The only downside would be the soda machine which appears to offer flavor additions like vanilla or cherry, but were no longer offered.

I love eating here because they have healthier burger options such as whole wheat buns and grilled chicken.
